Prayer Team

You are invited to join our Prayer Team!

These prayer warriors commit to prayerful support of the mission of CANFP. Our volunteer prayer team leader sends her partners in prayer a monthly email, with the specific prayer intentions for that month. Of course, CANFP appreciates the prayers of ALL our supporters, but if you feel inspired to commit to regularly keeping the intentions of CANFP in your prayers, you are invited to join our CANFP Prayer Team by emailing

Below is a message from our Prayer Team Coordinator, Marianne Soratorio Dyogi:mariannedyogi

“It is not possible to engage in the direct apostolate without being a soul of prayer. We must be aware of oneness with Christ, as he was aware of oneness with his Father. Our activity is truly apostolic only insofar as we permit him to work in us and through us with his power, with his desire, with his love.” – Blessed Mother Teresa, A Gift from God

Much is happening in the world of natural family planning. We can thank God for bringing abundant good from the recent challenges we have faced with the HHS Mandate, which is now encouraging the rise of a rapidly growing movement against artificial contraception, sterilization, and abortion.  More church communities are hosting NFP awareness events.  There is a heightened interest in NFP teacher/practitioner training programs. Pastors and priests are more supportive of having parishioners learn how to chart their fertility cycles and understand the call of Humanae Vitae to follow God’s plan for life and love.

Yet as we move forward in the areas of marketing and NFP education, the heart of this apostolate must always be rooted in prayer. The power of intercession was confirmed by Jesus Christ Himself when he said, “If two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in Heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst” (Mt 18:19-20).

It is also through prayer that we keep the lines of communication open with God, who calls us to this work in the first place. As we offer our activities and request God’s blessing upon them, we also ask Our Lord to send down His Holy Spirit upon all involved in CANFP to direct and guide us as we listen to His “still small voice”.

The Prayer Team invites you to join us each month as we pray for CANFP and all who are reached by our efforts. If you would like to receive the monthly intentions via email and unite with us in prayer, please send a message to

May God bless you for your faithfulness to His call!
