Aug. 21 and 22, 2015, 235 people gathered from throughout California (and beyond) at the event center at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco to attend the 13th statewide CANFP Conference MALE AND FEMALE HE CREATED THEM. For those of us attending our 13th of these CANFP State Conferences, the enthusiasm of the many there attending their first CANFP conference was contagious! It was wonderful meeting so many new faces, as well as reconnecting with long time friends and colleagues. There were so many memorable experiences, including favorite talks, light bulb moments, lovely meals with new and old friends, stimulating conversations, discovering new resources at exhibits, and the opportunity to not only hear from the esteemed group of speakers, but talk to them as well over meals and in the halls. A highlight for many was the banquet, featuring the passionate and articulate Fiorella Nash, and concluding with the opportunity to honor our most deserving and beloved recipient of the 2015 Calegari Award, Archbishop Cordileone.
