Intercessory Prayers

That our eyes, ears, hearts and minds be opened to God speaking to us through the teachings of His Church, we pray to the Lord.
For our clergy, who bravely shine the light of the Lord in the darkest areas of our lives, especially for the courage to preach on the difficult topics of abortion and contraception. We Pray to the Lord
For couples suffering infertility, that they find peace through placing their hope and trust in God’s plan for them….We pray to the Lord.
For us all, that we may hear God calling us to a holy life, and be not afraid to respond, knowing God will provide the graces to live His design. We Pray to the Lord.
For all married couples, for courage to seek first the kingdom of God and to be faithful stewards of the mysteries of God in their marriages. We Pray to the Lord.
For all spouses, for the wisdom and humility to examine their marriage in light of God’s plan for love and life….We Pray to the Lord.
For marriages suffering the harms of contraception and sterilization, that through the grace of God, husbands and wives may be inspired to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live their marriages temperately, justly, and devoutly…We pray to the Lord.
For engaged couples, that they use the time of preparing for their wedding to prayerfully and actively discern God’s plan for their vocation of marriage… We pray to the Lord.
For our faith community, that each of us find our burdens lightened, our joy shared, and our faith inspired as members of the body of Christ…We pray to the Lord.
For married couples, that their love for each other be fruitful and faithful, and illuminate, for each other and their children, the depth and perfection of God’s love for all His children…We pray to the Lord.
For all single men and women, that they be blessed with experiencing the intensity of God’s love for them, and rest in His love and care during times of loneliness or anxiety….We pray to the Lord.
For those tortured by lustful temptations, that they turn to Jesus, whom the devil also tempted, for strength, and purification. …We pray to the Lord.
For priests, that they find the courage and strength to feed His lambs and tend His sheep, even on difficult teachings like contraception, to lead all to the glory of God’s loving embrace….We pray to the Lord.
For those who suffer persecution for their faithful adherence to Catholic teaching on married love, and for standing firm against the scourge of abortion and contraception, that God may wipe every tear from their eyes….We pray to the Lord.
For all priests, that they be a sign of Christ to those they serve, and stand firm in the Lord…We pray to the Lord.
For all who struggle with pornography: That God may purify the hearts of those who sin with their eyes, that He may heal marriages and relationships damaged by this plague, that He may protect young people from exposure, and that He give priests the grace and wisdom to help those seeking healing…We pray to the Lord.
For all women, that they may receive Jesus’ love for them, and reflect His love to others, so that all may come to know and worship Him….We pray to the Lord.
For couples preparing for marriage, that they spare themselves the hardships of contraception, by embracing natural family planning from the beginning of their marriage…We pray to the Lord.
For mothers, and women who long for motherhood, that God may bless them abundantly….We pray to the Lord.
For priests, that they be filled with joy in their vocation, and inspire joy in the vocations of those they serve…..We pray to the Lord.
For all gathered at this Mass, that the Holy Spirit fill us with a burning desire to live our faith fully within our marriages and families…We pray to the Lord.
For those who gave their lives so that we may live in freedom, that we honor their sacrifice by respecting the value and dignity of each human life, born and unborn…We Pray to the Lord.
For Catholics around the globe who receive Christ in the Eucharist today, that they be inspired to live their Catholic faith fully in all areas of their lives, especially within their marriages and families…We pray to the Lord.
For women, that they may follow the example of the sinful woman who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, and in seeking God’s forgiveness for times when they failed to love as God has called them to, they experience His generous mercy and limitless love….We pray to the Lord.
For fathers, that God may provide the graces for them to be generous and responsible fathers who respect children as the most excellent fruit of marriage… We pray to the Lord.
For married couples, that they seek always to place God at the center of their marriage, and that every marital embrace be free, total , faithful, and open to new life…We pray to the Lord.
For all married couples, that they may strive to rid their union of the demons of lust, pornography, contraception, and selfishness…We pray to the Lord.
For our priests, that they may find in our Lord the strength, compassion, and courage to shepherd us in His way, and through Truth bring the lost sheep back into the fold…We pray to the Lord.
That fear, anxiety, and disbelief may be replaced with trust and faith in the Lord, from whom all good things come…We pray to the Lord.
For those struggling in their marriages, that they set aside harmful habits of the past, and be renewed in the ways of the Lord…We pray to the Lord.
For all parents, that their love for each other model for their children the love of God—fruitful, faithful, forgiving, and sacrificial…. We pray to the Lord.
For our teens and young adults, for the wisdom to seek to understand God’s will for their lives, and the courage to live chastely…We pray to the Lord.
For all husbands and wives, that they seek to share a love that is pure and holy, life-giving and love-giving—unblemished by selfishness, contraception, and sterilization… We pray to the Lord.
For us all— single and married, priest and religious, young and old– that we may each seek to live chastely, in our thoughts and in our deeds…We pray to the Lord.
For those among us who have turned a deaf ear to God’s call to responsible parenthood, that our ears may be opened to hearing His call to joyfully and faithfully embrace God’s design for love and life within our marriages…We pray to the Lord.
For Natural Family Planning teachers and physicians who through their work provide couples the practical tools to live their faith…We Pray to the Lord.
For mothers and fathers who are experiencing a challenging pregnancy in difficult circumstances, that they can find peace in trusting in the words of Jesus in today’s Gospel…We pray to the Lord
For our priests, on whom we rely for moral guidance, that they may have the courage and compassion to call us from our sinful ways, especially in those areas of our lives we may least want, but most need, the Church’s guidance….We pray to the Lord.
For parents who may be struggling with the responsibilities of parenthood, that they may be free of fear and anxiety, and model for their children trusting in God in all things …We pray to the Lord
For priests and deacons, whose calling may require them to risk even persecution in God’s name, that they may be granted the courage, compassion, and wisdom to boldly proclaim the Gospel. ….We pray to the Lord.
For all who strive to live chaste lives, that they be encouraged and confident in the knowledge that all things are possible for God…We pray to the Lord.
For husbands and fathers, that the authority they exercise in their families be modeled after Jesus, who came to serve and to give His life as ransom for many…We pray to the Lord
For parents of large families, and that their examples of generosity, sacrifice, faith, and boundless love be an inspiration to their children, and to us all….We pray to the Lord.
For married couples, that together they may grow in love, knowledge and wisdom, discerning God’s will for their marriage, that their successful matrimonial union on earth will prepare them well for eternal union with the Lord…We pray to the Lord.
For married couples, that they may find the grace to surrender their own desires to the greater good of their marriages, place Christ as the head of their household and give Him dominion over their sacramental union….We pray to the Lord.
For husbands, that they may love their wives with a purity, zeal, and selflessness that inspires trust and devotion, and models for their children a love pleasing to the Lord…We pray to the Lord.

Feast of the Anunciation

For pregnant women, who might be experiencing anxiety or fear, that this week’s celebration of the Feast of the Annunciation and Mary’s YES to God be a source of peace, courage, and faith in God’s providence …We pray to the Lord.

Lent

For all of us gathered here today, may our Lenten journey not only increase our awareness of our failings, sinfulness and disobedience, but also our desire to receive the overflowing and gracious gift of God’s love… We Pray to the Lord.

October / Respect Life Month

For all married couples, that respect for life—and the author of all life—be the foundation and fruit of their one flesh union…We pray to the Lord.
For Catholics who face insult and persecution because of their faith, especially those who stand up for the dignity of life in public and professional forums, that they draw fortitude and courage from the examples of the saints, and peace in knowing their reward will be great in heaven… We pray to the Lord.
For all who bear the burden of a past abortion, that they seek and receive God’s Divine mercy, and that we all reject abortion, contraception, and other perversions of God’s gift of life giving love….We pray to the Lord.

Advent

For young people, that this Advent season they seek in God the strength to overcome temptations, strive to conduct themselves and their relationships in ways pleasing to God, and celebrate God’s love for them in a special way this Christmas…We pray to the Lord.
For all gathered here today, as we prepare to celebrate God’s gift to us of His Son, that we receive His healing from the wounds of sin, especially impurity, contraception, sterilization, and abortion. ..We pray to the Lord
For every expectant mother, that during this sacred season of Advent she may experience a special closeness with Mary, and through her know more intimately God’s love for her, and for the child she nurtures in her womb….We pray to the Lord.

Feast of Immaculate Conception

For single women, that in Mary they find a Mother, an advocate and intercessor, and a powerful inspiration of purity, grace, and holiness…We pray to the Lord.

Christmas

For family members who have drifted away from the Church, that this Christmas celebration rekindle in them the desire to know, love and serve God, and to live the teachings of their Catholic faith ….We pray to the Lord.
