The most recent Statewide Conference, Celebrating 40 Years of Humanae Vitae: a Milestone in Church Teaching on Married Love and the Gift of Life, was held at the San Bernardino Pastoral Center April 11-12, 2008. The 250 participants gained practical tools for integrating the Church vision of sexuality into parish and diocesan ministry. Simultaneous translation in Spanish was provided, and featured speakers included Janet Smith, PhD, Teresa Notare, MA, Mary Davenport, MD, and Bishop Salvatore Cordileone, with opening Mass offered by Bishop Gerald Barnes, and Closing Mass by Bishop Rutilio del Riego.
