Question

I have been taking tri-phasil for about 5 years - this month my doctor gave me tri-leven - is there ay reason that I should feel a change in my body (ex. breast tenderness, moody)

Answer

The symptoms you mention are known side effects of oral contraceptives. A woman may experience these symptoms as well as others as a response to the introduction of these synthetic hormones into her system, upsetting her normal hormonal balance, and to any change in the dosage or type of pill prescribed.

I encourage you to look into natural family planning, which will provide you with the same level of effectiveness to avoid a pregnancy without the side effects or health concerns of hormonal contraceptives.
