Question

I'm 50 years old and have continuous cervical mucus right up until my period comes. Is this normal and how can I tell when my infertile time is?

Mary Ann

Answer

Dear Mary Ann,

Thank you for your question. This continuous and irregular mucus pattern is more common at your age. I would suggest you meet with an NFP teacher in your area to help you with charting to identify and to look at essential-sameness type mucus. If that is not possible you may call a teacher from the CANFP web site and do a phone consultation.
