Question
About 2 years ago I had a torted ovary caused by a cyst. They had to remove the ovary and the tube. After the operation I didn't go back on the pill. Six months later I got a cyst on my left ovary and they drained it. I am just worried. If I want to get pregnant and stop the pill will the cyst come back, and will it be difficult to get pregnant?

Answer
Dear Nanda,
I think there are better ways to manage your cysts and appreciate your fertility. First, I assume you are married. If so, I recommend that unless there is a serious reason to wait, why not try to conceive now. The high levels of progesterone in pregnancy tend to allow cysts to normalize.
If you have serious reason to postpone pregnancy then I recommend that you use one of the modern methods of natural family planning. If a cyst occurs, you should see a physician knowledgeable with NaProTechnology so that he can provide treatments that work in harmony with your fertility system rather than blocking it circumventing it or destroying it.
