Question
Hello,
I am 55 years old, about 1 month short of my full menopause year. Every so often, after urinating, I find the paper has what looks to be brown mucous, very light. No spotting, just on the paper. Do I have anything to worry about or is this normal?
Thank you,
Peggy
Answer
Dear Peggy,
I would suspect that you do not have anything to worry about because you didn't mention any other symptoms in the last 11 months. But at the same time any woman in the pre-menopause age group that has any unusual bleeding should see her doctor, even if you are only one month away from menopause, as in your case.
