Question
I might be pregnant again after giving birth to our child 4 months ago, even while using birth control. I am very stressed now. Would it be healthly for me have this baby? Should I have an abortion? Please help...
Thanks...
Jena
Answer
Dear Jena,
Thank you for your question. Yes you could be pregnant. Yes, it would be healthy for you and your husband to have your baby. I know of several women with pregnancies following the birth of a baby, and all are healthy babies and mothers. You may be a little more tired towards the last months with a toddler, but family and friends can be encouraged to help. Not having your baby and choosing to kill him or her would be a grave mistake, and leave you scarred for life. Studies now show how women are so emotionally hurt by an abortion, significantly hurt physically and spiritually and need healing. You mentioned you were using birth control but not what type. No method is 100% effective. If you need help you can call 1-800-395-HELP. There is lots of help available to you and your husband. Another source of help would be Pregnancy Choices in your area. I would also encourage you to find a Fertility Care teacher in your area and learn about your menstrual cycles and your time of fertility and infertility. You can call CANFP at 1-877-33-CANFP. I hope we can be of help to you.
Wishing you and your family the gift of love and Peace.
