Question
Is the pain from a vasectomy reversal the same as a vasectomy?
Tina
Answer
Tina
The discomfort of vasectomy reversal is about the same as that of a vasectomy, but remains “achy” a little bit longer. I keep my patients on a daily anti-inflammatory for one month to not only keep pain minimized but to lessen the likelihood of post-operative scarring. Patients also wear a scrotal support (“jock”) during the day for the month to reduce the tug on the surgery sites.
