Question

I took my depoprovera shot 3 weeks late. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came out positive. Does medroxygesterone produce hcg in any type of way? Or have anything to do with hcg?

Answer

Congratulations, you are pregnant! Please note that Depo-provera does not affect HCG levels since HCG is produced as a result of a pregnancy. If you have not done so already, please start prenatal vitamins and establish prenatal care with your doctor. If there are any further questions, please let us know. God Bless.
