Question
I have a client who is just beginning NFP classes who is taking 10 mg of Lexepro at night. Can this drug have any affect on cervical mucus production/observation?
Answer
As is true for many drugs, I can find no evidence that this specific question has been addressed in scientific studies. However, my educated guess is that it may have some effect on the mucous, but that it should not interfere with the differentiation of fertile and infertile days.
Lexapro frequently causes side effects of decreased libido and anorgasmia.
